Over the past eight years, I have had the great privilege of Conducting the civil ceremony for many couples of  different cultural communities and ethnic persuasions. The Priest conducts the Hindu ceremony, usually in Sanskrit,  and then I do the civil ceremony.  The Shaman conducts the Native American Indian Ceremony, and I do the civil ceremony.  The Muslims and the Buddhists oftentimes have their private religious ceremonies in their homes, and then the guests gather at a country club or restaurant or other location, and we do the civil ceremony.   I am thrilled to be the representative of the State of California to provide the legal requirements for marriage for these lovely couples.    Also, I can offer the fulfillment of the legal requirements to any couple who would like to have a friend or relative actually do the ceremony for them, and I will sign the Marriage Certificate.
